From the 4th to the 8th of June the Fridtjof Nansen conference on Neural Networks and Behaviour took place on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen, in the Svalbard archipelago (79 degrees North). The conference was organized by Edvard Moser, May-Britt Moser, and Menno Witter from the Center for the Biology of Memory in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.
I had the honor of being invited to chair one of the sessions, and I had therefore the occasion to assist to this fantastic meeting, in a location that made for a once in a lifetime trip, and for a few hundreds photos, the best of which will eventually find their way to a place on the web.
Many thanks again to the organizers for this invitation and for the great conference!
